Al-Mustaqbal University officially launched the 2026–2027 academic year on Sunday, 20 September 2026, with an Iraqi flag-raising ceremony, in line with the official ministerial schedule for the commencement of the new academic year. The ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Scientific and Administrative Assistants, and the Director of the Diwan Affairs Department, alongside the Deans of the Colleges and their Assistants, as well as a number of faculty members and university staff. The ceremony reflected a strong sense of national identity, pride, commitment, and discipline within the university community. The ceremony was held in accordance with the relevant ministerial directives marking the beginning of the academic year, while reinforcing the values of citizenship, belonging, and national awareness among university students. It also highlighted the importance of commencing the academic year with a strong sense of responsibility, dedication, and commitment. The flag-raising ceremony was conducted by the Al-Mustaqbal University Scout Team under the supervision of the Scout Activities Division within the Central Student Activities Department. The event took place in an academic and patriotic atmosphere, reflecting the university community’s readiness to embark on a new academic year filled with learning, achievement, and excellence.
