President of Al-Mustaqbal University Meets Students of the International Training Program in the UK and Honors Their Outstanding Efforts

Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, met with a delegation of students who participated in the international training program held at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) in the United Kingdom, following the successful completion of the scientific and cultural program. The meeting was held as part of the university’s continuous follow-up of the outcomes of its international training programs and its commitment to supporting student talents. During the meeting, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi praised the students’ efforts and outstanding discipline throughout the program, emphasizing that their participation reflected the academic and ethical standards of Al-Mustaqbal University students and their ability to represent their university honorably in international academic environments while making effective use of the educational and training opportunities available to them. The University President emphasized the importance of putting the knowledge, skills, and experience gained during the program into practice and sharing the lessons learned with their fellow students. This would help expand the benefits of international training opportunities, develop academic, personal, and professional skills, and encourage students to continue enhancing their capabilities and highlighting their experiences in a manner that reflects the university’s openness to the international academic community. Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi also highlighted Al-Mustaqbal University’s continued support for programs and initiatives that provide students with opportunities to learn and train in international academic environments. He noted that cooperation with global universities represents an important pathway for developing students’ skills, enhancing their readiness for the requirements of the labor market, and fostering a culture of academic exchange and openness to international educational experiences. For his part, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, explained that the program represents the outcome of the efforts made by the University Presidency to transform international academic cooperation into direct educational and training opportunities for students. He noted that the experience comes within the university’s efforts to expand its international academic partnerships with higher education institutions in the United Kingdom, Egypt, and Türkiye, strengthening its commitment to the internationalization of higher education and expanding its academic presence globally. Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, expressed his appreciation for the initiative, which provided the college’s students with an important opportunity for training and engagement with an international academic environment. He noted that such experiences contribute to developing students’ scientific and practical skills and enhancing their ability to engage with modern educational methods and technologies, supporting their academic and professional pathways. The meeting was attended by Dr. Samir Badrawi, Director of the Cultural Relations Department, along with a number of professors from the College of Engineering Technologies who accompanied the students throughout their training program. The meeting reviewed the key stages of the program and its scientific, cultural, and training activities, as well as the knowledge and skills gained by the students during their experience in the United Kingdom. At the conclusion of the meeting, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi honored the participating students by presenting them with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their commitment, active participation, and honorable representation of Al-Mustaqbal University, while encouraging them to continue developing their capabilities and benefiting from the international training and academic exchange opportunities provided by the university. Al-Mustaqbal University is the first one university in Iraq.
