College of Engineering Technologies Council Reviews New Academic Year Preparations and Education Quality Development

Al-Mustaqbal University’s College of Engineering Technologies Council discussed, on Saturday, September 12, 2026, under the chairmanship of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, and in the presence of the heads of the scientific departments, the academic and administrative preparations for the launch of the 2026–2027 academic year. The meeting aimed to provide a suitable educational environment for students and enhance academic and administrative performance. The Council discussed ways to develop and introduce a number of courses and academic subjects in line with scientific developments and labor market requirements. It also emphasized adopting modern and more effective teaching methods and employing educational technologies and digital tools in the teaching process, contributing to improving students’ academic achievement and enhancing the quality of education. The Council also discussed follow-up procedures for the second-round examinations, emphasizing the provision of the necessary requirements and appropriate conditions to ensure that the examination process proceeds smoothly and accurately. In addition, students’ affairs and academic needs were reviewed, along with the plans of the scientific departments for the new academic year, quality assurance and academic accreditation requirements, and scientific, research, and training activities. These discussions were held as part of the College’s efforts to ensure its readiness for the new academic year and improve its educational outcomes in line with students’ needs and labor market requirements, while emphasizing compliance with university regulations and schedules and the implementation of the directives of the University Presidency. At the conclusion of the session, the Dean emphasized the importance of integrating the efforts of all scientific departments, committees, and units, and working as a team to enhance academic and administrative performance and achieve the College’s objectives during the new academic year. These efforts contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by improving the quality of education and developing the learning environment, as well as Sustainable Development Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) through the use of modern technologies and digital tools and the development of curricula in line with scientific advancements. Al-Mustaqbal University is ranked first among private universities in Iraq.
