Reflecting its growing presence on the international academic stage, Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, participated in the 36th Annual Conference and Exhibition of the European Association for International Education (EAIE 2026), held at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC Centre) in Glasgow, United Kingdom, from 8 to 11 September 2026, under the theme “The Rhythm of Revolution.” Al-Mustaqbal University participated as the Iraqi academic institution represented at the FEDE Pavilion – Booth F29, at one of Europe’s leading international platforms dedicated to higher education and the internationalization of education, alongside a large number of universities and educational institutions from around the world. During the event, the University showcased its 55 advanced academic programs, along with its academic and research capabilities, presenting an overview of its educational experience in Babylon, Iraq. The University’s pavilion also highlighted aspects of Iraq’s rich cultural and civilizational heritage, conveying a message that brings together the authenticity of Iraqi civilization and the advancement of modern higher education. The exhibition brought together prominent universities and educational institutions from several countries, including France, Germany, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, and others. This provided Al-Mustaqbal University with an important opportunity to expand its international network and explore prospects for academic and research collaboration and student exchange with participating institutions. Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, emphasized that participation in international academic forums goes beyond institutional representation and visibility, stating that it aims to build sustainable institutional partnerships that translate into programs, projects, and genuine opportunities for students and researchers. As part of its participation, Al-Mustaqbal University signed a number of bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding with participating universities and academic institutions. These agreements aim to develop joint programs, strengthen academic and research exchange, benefit from international expertise and experiences, and keep pace with the latest global trends and strategies in the internationalization of higher education. This participation reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of strengthening its presence in international academic forums and consolidating its position as an Iraqi university with a global outlook. It also contributes to opening new horizons for academic and research cooperation, creating valuable opportunities for its students and academic staff, and advancing the University’s journey toward excellence and engagement with international educational experiences.
