The Iraqi Cultural Attaché and the President of Al-Mustaqbal University Discuss Prospects for Academic and Scientific Partnership at the University of Reading

As part of efforts to broaden international academic cooperation and strengthen the engagement of Iraqi universities with leading British educational institutions, the Cultural Attaché of the Republic of Iraq in the United Kingdom, Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, accompanied by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Al-Yasiri, paid an official visit to the University of Reading in the United Kingdom. The visit focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation in higher education and scientific research and on developing academic partnerships between the two institutions. The visit followed a series of previous meetings and communications that contributed to establishing channels of dialogue between Al-Mustaqbal University and the University of Reading and identifying initial prospects for joint cooperation. The current visit focused on moving beyond the exploratory stage toward practical pathways that could be translated into implementable academic and scientific programs and projects. The discussions addressed a number of potential areas of cooperation and explored mechanisms for initiating practical steps based on the mutual exchange of academic expertise and research capabilities. These efforts aim to strengthen institutional relations and open new avenues for cooperation between Al-Mustaqbal University and its British counterparts. Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining institutional communication and coordination and identifying priorities and areas in which practical cooperation could commence. Such efforts would contribute to building a sustainable academic partnership and advancing scientific and research collaboration between Iraqi and British higher education institutions. The visit forms part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to strengthen its presence within the international academic community, expand its network of relationships with universities worldwide, and benefit from international expertise and best practices in the development of education and scientific research. These efforts are expected to create positive outcomes for the University’s students and academic and research staff.
