Al-Mustaqbal University Strengthens Its International Academic Presence at EAIE 2026 in Glasgow

In a notable Iraqi academic presence, Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, participated in the 36th Annual Conference and Exhibition of the European Association for International Education (EAIE 2026), held at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC Centre) in Glasgow from 8 to 11 September 2026, under the theme “The Rhythm of Revolution.” The event brought together a wide range of universities and educational institutions from around the world. Al-Mustaqbal University’s participation holds particular significance as it represents Iraqi academia at one of Europe’s leading international platforms specializing in higher education and academic internationalization. The University is participating through the FEDE Pavilion – Booth F29, showcasing its academic and research experience in Iraq, as well as its 55 academic programs. The University’s pavilion presents a comprehensive overview of its academic identity and educational and research capabilities, while also highlighting Iraq’s rich civilizational and cultural heritage. This distinctive presence brings together the authenticity of Iraqi civilization and the development taking place within the higher education sector, reflecting the University’s vision of engaging with international experiences and representing Iraq at global academic forums. The University is participating alongside a distinguished group of leading universities and educational institutions from countries including France, Germany, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, and others. This participation has provided extensive opportunities for academic meetings and discussions on prospects for joint cooperation, particularly in the areas of academic program development, student exchange, research collaboration, and the internationalization of higher education. On the sidelines of the conference and exhibition, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, held a series of meetings with representatives of participating international universities and academic institutions. The discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation and the establishment of sustainable academic partnerships, in line with the University’s commitment to expanding its international network and strengthening its presence within the global academic community. The participation also witnessed the signing of a number of bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with universities and academic and educational institutions participating in the conference. These agreements aim to develop joint programs and projects, enhance academic and research exchange, and establish new pathways for international cooperation, creating broader opportunities for students, researchers, and academic staff.
