The Council of the College of Engineering at Al\-Mustaqbal University held its first meeting for the 2026–2027 academic year, chaired by the Dean of the College, Assist\. Prof\. Dr\. Ali Shakir Majdi, and attended by the Vice Dean, the Council Secretary, the heads of the academic departments, and the Council members\. The Dean opened the meeting by welcoming the Council members and emphasizing the importance of coordinating efforts and working as one team at the beginning of the new academic year\. He noted that such collaboration would contribute to enhancing academic and administrative performance and achieving the College’s objectives and future plans\. The Council discussed several items on its agenda, foremost among them the necessary preparations for the 2026–2027 academic year, the organization of the educational process, and the follow\-up of the academic departments’ needs\. The discussions also addressed scientific and research plans, quality assurance and academic accreditation requirements, the development of the university environment, and the enhancement of services provided to students\. The Council also discussed the scientific, organizational, and logistical preparations for the First Al\-Mustaqbal International Conference on Environment and Sustainability in Ecosystems\. The discussions included following up on the work of the assigned committees, the participating research papers, and the evaluation and publication procedures to ensure that the conference is held at a scientific and organizational standard befitting the standing of Al\-Mustaqbal University\. The meeting concluded with the adoption of a set of recommendations and resolutions aimed at supporting scientific progress and enhancing the quality of institutional and academic performance within the College\.
