Students of the College of Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University—ranked first among private universities in Iraq—continue their distinctive academic journey as part of the intensive international training program hosted by the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) in the United Kingdom, on Saturday, September 5, 2026. This program embodies the university’s vision of developing practical skills and enhancing academic openness through collaboration with leading educational and research institutions worldwide. The program featured advanced practical training in artificial intelligence, robotics, and intelligent systems. Students moved into a specialized research environment at the Bristol Robotics Laboratory to observe first-hand the latest technological developments in robotics and autonomous systems, connecting academic knowledge with real-world engineering applications. The program included hands-on experiments with quadruped robots, learning how to operate and program them, as well as exploring the application of artificial intelligence algorithms in autonomous robotic systems. This contributed to refining students’ skills in analyzing technical problems and employing innovative smart solutions. Students also participated in workshops and interactive sessions led by a group of trainers and researchers, focusing on advanced uses of robotics and AI to tackle complex challenges and design technical solutions that keep pace with evolutions in engineering and industrial sectors. Through this initiative, Al-Mustaqbal University reaffirms its commitment to providing pioneering international educational experiences, strengthening the practical aspect of students’ academic paths, and expanding bridges of scientific cooperation with global research institutions. This aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals in quality education, industry, and innovation, and enhances students’ readiness for the demands of the global job market.
