Al-Mustaqbal University Academic Participation in a Master’s Thesis Defense at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University

Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Health and Medical Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Adnan Abdul-Amir Al-Khafaji, participated as a member of the examination committee for a master’s thesis in Medical Laboratory Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University – Kufa, on 5 September 2026, as part of the University’s active academic and research engagement in scholarly activities. Dr. Ahmed Adnan participated in the defense committee for the master’s thesis submitted by Zainab Faleh Mahdi, entitled: “The Regulatory Effect of Resistin and Apolipoproteins on Lipid Profile in Obese Hypertensive Patients” The thesis addressed a research topic concerning the relationship between resistin, apolipoproteins, and lipid regulation in patients suffering from obesity and hypertension, highlighting an important medical research area relevant to public health. The examination committee included a distinguished group of academics and specialists: Prof. Dr. Ibtisam Faris Mohammed – Chair, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University / Higher Institute of Nanotechnology. Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Adnan Abdul-Amir Al-Khafaji – Member, Al-Mustaqbal University / College of Health and Medical Technologies. Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jasim Mohammed – Member, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University / Technical Institute – Kufa. Prof. Dr. Ali Mohammed Abd Hamoud – Member and Supervisor, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University / College of Health and Medical Technologies – Kufa. This academic participation reflects the high level of scholarly expertise represented by the academic staff of Al-Mustaqbal University, as well as their contribution to enriching scientific discussions and facilitating the exchange of specialised knowledge and expertise among researchers and academics at Iraqi universities. The participation also forms part of the University’s commitment to expanding academic and research cooperation, encouraging its academic staff to engage in scientific events and specialised thesis defenses, and supporting the development of research and the establishment of effective knowledge-based partnerships among academic institutions. Such initiatives align with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, as well as Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, by supporting specialised scientific research and advancing knowledge related to health and medical issues.
