Key Areas and Technologies Covered During the Visit: Healthcare Robotics and Smart Living: The visit included the Personalised Assisted Living Studio, where Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi explored advanced applications of assistive robotics, home-care and service robots designed to support the healthcare sector and improve the quality of life for older adults. Autonomous Driving Systems and Smart Vehicles: He reviewed research projects focused on the development of autonomous vehicle technologies and intelligent systems, including projects such as VENTURER, implemented in partnership with major industrial companies. Advanced Manufacturing and Robotic Arms: The visit also covered cutting-edge research in hybrid additive manufacturing and smart manufacturing using large-scale industrial robotic arms, including KUKA robots. Human-Robot Interaction and Artificial Intelligence Research: Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi reviewed ongoing research by postgraduate students and institutions involving quadruped robots and interactive humanoid robots, including Pepper and PAL robots, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence into sensing, perception, and autonomous movement.
