A delegation from the College of Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University, with the participation of representatives from several scientific departments of the College, alongside representatives of the Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center, discussed ways to strengthen scientific and technical cooperation with the Vocational Education Department in Babylon Province on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. The visit aimed to broaden opportunities for academic and training cooperation, exchange expertise and experiences in scientific and technical fields, and explore opportunities to support projects and initiatives that contribute to developing students’ practical skills and preparing them for the requirements of the labor market. The visit program included a tour of the training workshops and laboratories at one of the vocational preparatory schools, providing an opportunity to learn about the available educational and practical facilities and equipment, in addition to discussing a number of proposals for activating cooperation between the two sides. The delegation also discussed the possibility of organizing joint workshops, courses, and training programs involving academic and specialized staff, contributing to the development of students’ practical and technical capabilities, strengthening the practical component of education, and keeping pace with rapid developments in engineering and technological fields. This visit is part of the efforts of Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked first among private universities in Iraq, to strengthen partnerships with educational and vocational institutions and utilize academic and research expertise in serving the community and supporting scientific and technical development. These efforts are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
