Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, received Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Haleem Al-Qaim, Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, along with the teaching and administrative staff of the Anesthesia Techniques Department, to celebrate the Bachelor’s degree program in the department obtaining National Programmatic Accreditation. This achievement was granted pursuant to Ministerial Order No. (84122-1305) dated 29 July 2026, issued by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority / Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation, based on the minutes of the fifth session of the National Council for the Accreditation of Programs of Colleges and Institutes of Health and Medical Technologies. During the meeting, the University President commended the outstanding academic and administrative efforts made by the department and college staff in achieving this milestone. He emphasized that programmatic accreditation represents a practical reflection of Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to quality assurance and academic accreditation standards, as well as its dedication to developing academic programs, updating curricula, infrastructure, and laboratories, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified healthcare professionals in accordance with the highest professional standards and practices. Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi stressed that academic accreditation is not a final destination, but rather a continuous process of evaluation, improvement, and development. He called for maintaining the current level of performance and completing the requirements of the upcoming stages, while encouraging other academic departments to benefit from the Anesthesia Techniques Department’s experience and pursue programmatic accreditation. At the conclusion of the meeting, the University President presented letters of appreciation to the Dean of the College and the staff of the Anesthesia Techniques Department in recognition of their distinguished efforts and contribution to this academic achievement. For her part, Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Haleem Al-Qaim expressed her appreciation to the University Presidency for its continuous support, affirming that obtaining programmatic accreditation was the outcome of collective efforts and effective collaboration among the teaching and administrative staff, the department, and the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department. She further noted that the College of Health and Medical Technologies is committed to building on this experience and extending quality assurance and accreditation requirements across its other departments, thereby enhancing the quality of its academic programs and improving its educational outcomes.
