The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, received the Director General of the Babylon Education Directorate, Mr. Ali Raji, as part of the University’s efforts to strengthen its relations with educational and academic institutions across the governorate.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for joint cooperation and ways to enhance bilateral relations in support of the educational process, while providing school students with scientific and technological opportunities that contribute to developing their skills and nurturing their talents.
The meeting addressed several key areas, including:
Organizing training courses and programs for educational staff in modern technologies and digital education.
Involving school students in robotics and artificial intelligence programs implemented by the University’s Technology Incubator.
Organizing scientific visits for final-year school students to the University’s laboratories and colleges.
Holding joint seminars, workshops, and activities in scientific, cultural, and community-related fields.
Providing academic and career guidance to sixth preparatory-grade students regarding university majors and educational opportunities.
Exploring the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding to regulate areas of cooperation between the two sides.
The University President emphasized that Al-Mustaqbal University places its scientific, technological, and human resources at the service of the community and its educational institutions, noting that cooperation with the Babylon Education Directorate represents a natural extension of the University’s role in serving the community and supporting sustainable development. He also highlighted the importance of building early bridges between schools and universities to prepare a scientifically and technologically qualified generation.
For his part, the Director General of the Babylon Education Directorate expressed his thanks and appreciation to the University Presidency for its warm reception, commending the scientific and community-oriented role played by Al-Mustaqbal University and affirming the Directorate’s readiness to cooperate and activate joint programs that serve students and educational staff across the governorate.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and proposals and agreed to follow up on the implementation of the discussed initiatives through joint committees representing both sides.
Al-Mustaqbal University is the first one university in Iraq.
