In a distinguished achievement that reflects the growing presence of Iraqi academia on the international stage, the European Union has officially announced that **Al-Mustaqbal University** has been awarded funding for a research and educational project under the **Jean Monnet Actions** of the **Erasmus+ Programme**. This achievement represents a significant milestone, as it marks the **first time an Iraqi university has secured this prestigious grant**, receiving **100% direct funding from the European Commission** to implement its academic project entitled: **“One Health in EU Policy: Implications for Medical and Health Practice”** This achievement comes after more than four years of dedicated efforts and continuous follow-up, during which Iraqi universities witnessed a significant leap forward in international cooperation. These efforts began with exploring Erasmus+ programmes and establishing specialized academic and administrative **Erasmus units** within educational institutions, ultimately leading to participation in international programmes and securing European funding.
