Al-Mustaqbal University Strengthens Its Global Leadership with a Remarkable Leap in Scientific Research and Publication Quality in 2026

Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a remarkable leap in its scientific research indicators for 2026, according to the latest data from the global Scopus database. This achievement reflects the University’s firm commitment to the quality and rigor of its scholarly output and to enhancing its direct impact on the international academic community. The total number of the University’s research papers indexed in Scopus has reached **6,701 publications**, with **535 new research papers added in 2026 alone to date**, during the first half of the year. The University’s scientific citation **H-index** has also risen to **94**, demonstrating the added value and tangible impact of its research across various academic disciplines. These achievements have gone beyond numerical indicators to encompass the quality of research outputs and the caliber of the publication venues. Analytical data for research classified during the first half of 2026 revealed a strategic distribution targeting the highest-ranked international journals: * **Q1:** 45.0% * **Q2:** 24.5% * **Q3:** 21.2% * **Q4:** 9.3% Research published in the two highest quartiles, **Q1 and Q2**, accounted for **69.5%** of the total classified publications, while publications in prestigious journals within the **Q1–Q3** categories represented approximately **90.7%**. This confirms the researchers’ commitment to the highest international academic standards. These achievements are supported by a broad research network comprising **1,034 authors and researchers affiliated with the University**. In this context, **Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University**, stated that these outstanding results are the fruit of the continuous dedication of the University’s teaching and research staff, as well as the stimulating academic environment provided by the University to support innovation and international collaboration. He emphasized that the University will continue its strategic approach to consolidating its academic standing at both regional and international levels, while contributing to and supporting the requirements of national development.
