As part of its continuous efforts to enhance its academic presence and stay updated with global advancements in renewable energy, the Fuel and Energy Techniques Engineering Department at the College of Technical Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the specialized scientific conference on Solar Energy and Energy Storage Systems (ESS), organized by Ofuq Al-Fadaa Company in collaboration with Dyness, hosted at the Babylon Rotana Hotel in Baghdad.
The department and college were represented by the Head of the Fuel and Energy Techniques Engineering Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul-Kadhim Fathi, on behalf of the Dean of the College of Technical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, alongside faculty member Mr. Ali Naiel. The event brought together representatives from Iraqi universities and energy experts, creating an ideal scientific platform for knowledge exchange.
The conference featured technical sessions showcasing the latest energy storage solutions and advanced Dyness battery technologies, while addressing the realities, challenges, and future prospects of solar power and energy storage applications in Iraq.
This participation reinforces the commitment of the Fuel and Energy Techniques Engineering Department to bridging academia and industry, supporting the Sustainable Development Goals—specifically Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure)—and consolidating Al-Mustaqbal University's role in driving innovation and community service.
