College of Law Participates in the Twelfth Session of Al-Mustaqbal University Council and Discusses Preparations for the New Academic Year

The College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by its Dean, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, participated in the twelfth session of the University Council for the 2025–2026 academic year. The session was chaired by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and attended by the members of the Council. The session reviewed the University’s most prominent academic, scientific, and institutional achievements during the past academic year, particularly in the fields of scientific research, national and international rankings, and academic accreditation. It also highlighted the University’s receipt of an Erasmus+ grant and the opportunities it provides to strengthen international academic cooperation and partnerships. The Council also discussed preparations for the 2026–2027 academic year and emphasized the importance of completing academic, technical, and administrative requirements at an early stage, contributing to the provision of an integrated educational environment and an effective start to the new academic year. The session also addressed several areas related to the development of the educational process, foremost among them updating curricula, employing modern teaching methods, strengthening the role of advisory councils, and aligning academic outcomes with labor market needs, in addition to benefiting from international academic partnerships and experiences to develop educational and research performance. The Council’s proceedings also included the presentation of several working papers addressing student affairs and scientific and academic performance, as well as the activities of the Continuing Education Center and the performance of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, in support of the University’s plans to enhance the quality of institutional and academic performance. The Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, participated in the Council’s discussions on academic, scientific, and administrative matters, reflecting the College’s commitment to contributing effectively to the development of plans and directions that support the advancement of the University’s educational and research processes. The College of Law’s participation in the University Council forms part of its approach to strengthening integration with the University Presidency and its various formations, while continuing to develop its academic programs and enhance scientific and research performance in line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to quality, excellence, and leadership. At the conclusion of the session, the Council discussed the items on its agenda and adopted a number of decisions and recommendations aimed at supporting institutional development and strengthening preparations for the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year.
