President of Al-Mustaqbal University Commends the Department of Anesthesia Technologies for Receiving National Programmatic Accreditation

The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, received the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qayim, along with the teaching and administrative staff of the Department of Anesthesia Technologies, on the occasion of the department’s bachelor’s degree program receiving National Programmatic Accreditation. The program was granted accreditation pursuant to Ministerial Order No. (84122-1305) dated July 29, 2026, issued by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority / Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation, based on the minutes of the fifth session of the National Council for the Accreditation of Programs of Colleges and Institutes of Health and Medical Technologies. During the meeting, the University President commended the efforts of the teaching and administrative staff of the department and college, emphasizing that this achievement reflects the university’s commitment to applying quality assurance and academic accreditation standards and to continuously enhancing the quality of its academic programs. He noted that programmatic accreditation is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to develop curricula and strengthen the quality of its educational environment and laboratories, contributing to the preparation of qualified healthcare professionals capable of meeting the requirements of the labor market and healthcare sector in accordance with recognized professional standards. The University President directed the continuation of efforts to sustain quality standards and complete the requirements of the next stage of development. He emphasized that academic accreditation is not an end in itself, but rather a continuous process of evaluation and improvement. He also encouraged other academic departments to benefit from the experience of the Department of Anesthesia Technologies and pursue programmatic accreditation. At the conclusion of the meeting, the University President presented certificates of appreciation to the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies and the staff of the Department of Anesthesia Technologies in recognition of their efforts and contribution to this academic achievement. For her part, the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qayim, expressed her appreciation to the University Presidency for its continued support, emphasizing that the achievement was the result of coordinated efforts among the teaching and administrative staff and the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance. She affirmed that the college will continue to strengthen quality standards and extend the experience of programmatic accreditation to its other departments, in line with the university’s commitment to advancing the quality of education and achieving academic excellence.
