As part of the practical summer training program, students from the Fuel and Energy Techniques Engineering Department at the College of Technical Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University continue their field training at the Ministry of Electricity / General Company for Middle Euphrates Electricity Distribution - Babil Electricity Distribution Branch (Al-Hamza Al-Gharbi Electricity Distribution Sector), ensuring the bridge between academic curricula and field applications in the energy sector.
The training included active participation in monitoring operation and technical maintenance procedures, as well as understanding distribution grid management and fault detection mechanisms. This experience helped hone their practical skills and prepare them to tackle technical challenges in real work environments.
This training supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), by preparing engineering cadres capable of contributing to energy grid efficiency.
Al-Mustaqbal University reaffirmed its commitment to providing optimal practical training opportunities for its students in collaboration with government and service institutions, enhancing their readiness for the labor market and supporting sustainable development.
We are proud of our students… and preparing them for a more sustainable future
