Head of the Optics Techniques Department at Al-Mustaqbal University Conducts a Field Follow-up Visit to Students' Summer Training at Babel Al-Ahli Hospital

As part of Al-Mustaqbal University's commitment to strengthening the practical component of its academic programs and preparing highly qualified healthcare professionals with outstanding scientific knowledge and practical competencies, Professor Dr. Munther Samin Shukr, Head of the Optics Techniques Department at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, conducted a field visit to Babel Al-Ahli Hospital to monitor the progress of the Department's summer training program and assess the practical skills acquired by students throughout their clinical training. The visit included direct follow-up of the training of 32 students from the first training group. During the visit, the Head of the Department reviewed the nature of the training activities and the methods used to engage students in clinical practice, contributing to the enhancement of their professional competencies and preparing them to perform effectively in real healthcare environments. On the sidelines of the visit, a coordination meeting was held with Mr. Mohammed, the Summer Training Coordinator at the Continuing Education Division of Babel Al-Ahli Hospital. The meeting concluded with an agreement to organize the training schedules for second- and third-year students, with training to be conducted three days per week across the hospital's departments. This arrangement aims to maximize the educational benefits of the program while providing students with comprehensive and diverse practical experiences. Professor Dr. Munther Samin Shukr also reviewed the training methodologies adopted by the hospital, which involve the direct participation of students in examining and diagnosing patients requiring vision correction and prescription eyewear. Students are progressively engaged in advanced clinical examination and diagnostic procedures under the supervision of experienced physicians and specialists, enabling them to strengthen their practical competencies and develop essential clinical skills. The Head of the Department commended the high standard of practical training provided by Babel Al-Ahli Hospital, expressing his appreciation for the hospital's constructive collaboration in supporting the educational process. He emphasized the hospital's significant role in bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application, thereby enhancing students' professional readiness and preparing them to meet the demands of the healthcare sector. This visit reflects the Optics Techniques Department's ongoing commitment at Al-Mustaqbal University to expanding strategic partnerships with leading healthcare institutions, enhancing the quality of clinical training in line with academic accreditation standards, and ensuring the graduation of competent healthcare professionals equipped with the scientific knowledge and practical expertise required to serve the community.
