As part of the College of Health Technologies and Medical's commitment at Al-Mustaqbal University to enhancing academic and administrative performance and advancing institutional excellence in accordance with quality assurance and program accreditation standards, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Zahraa Haleem Al-Qayyim, conducted an inspection visit to the Department of Optometry to review the progress of academic and administrative activities within the department. The Dean was accompanied during the visit by Dr. Arshad. The inspection included monitoring the preparation of the official master grade sheet, reviewing the workflow of the Examination Committee, and following up on the procedures implemented by the Quality Assurance Unit. The visit was attended by the Head and members of the Department's Examination Committee. During the visit, the Dean reviewed the mechanisms for documenting and recording students' grades and assessed the department's compliance with the regulations and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, transparency, and fairness in examination procedures. The visit also included a review of the Quality Assurance Unit's performance indicators and discussions on enhancing administrative and examination procedures to improve operational efficiency and the overall quality of academic outcomes. The Dean emphasized the importance of adhering to approved academic standards and strengthening collaboration between the Examination Committee and the Quality Assurance Unit to enhance institutional performance and maintain the highest levels of academic integrity and excellence. This visit forms part of the College's ongoing field monitoring program, which aims to support academic departments, promote a culture of quality assurance and continuous improvement, and reinforce Al-Mustaqbal University's vision of achieving institutional excellence and academic leadership while contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education.
