As part of the Summer Training Program, the Summer Training Committee of the Department of Renal Dialysis Technologies, College of Health Technologies and Medical, Al-Mustaqbal University, conducted a field visit on Thursday, July 23, 2026, to the Hemodialysis Unit at Al-Imam Al-Sadiq (PBUH) Teaching Hospital to monitor the progress of the second-year students' summer training program. The visit reflects the department's commitment to ensuring the quality of practical training and strengthening collaboration with healthcare institutions.
The visit was led by Professor Dr. Younis Abdul Ridha Al-Khafaji, Head of the Department, and attended by Assistant Lecturer Zainab Ali Al-Khafaji, Department Rapporteur, as part of the department's continuous efforts to monitor the implementation of the training program and evaluate students' practical performance within healthcare facilities.
The visit coincided with the commencement of the students' summer training at the Hemodialysis Unit. During the visit, the committee reviewed the distribution of students within the unit and the nature of the clinical tasks assigned to them. Students were also introduced to the healthcare work environment and patient care procedures, with emphasis placed on adherence to professional ethics, workplace regulations, and safety protocols throughout their clinical training.
The committee also met with the clinical supervisors responsible for student training to discuss the training plan and its implementation mechanisms. The discussions emphasized the importance of providing an appropriate clinical learning environment that supports the achievement of the intended educational and professional outcomes, enhances students' competencies, and equips them with the practical skills required for their future careers.
This field visit reflects the Department of Renal Dialysis Technologies' commitment to strengthening the integration of theoretical knowledge with clinical practice and enhancing the quality of educational outcomes.
