Professor Azhar Mohsen Abd, Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University, chaired an online meeting on Thursday, July 23, 2026, attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, department heads, and academic rapporteurs to discuss several key academic issues aimed at enhancing educational quality and advancing the college's academic programs.
The meeting focused on the quality requirements for implementing the Bologna Process and the mechanisms for ensuring its successful application in accordance with quality assurance and academic accreditation standards. Discussions also covered the University Requirements and College Requirements courses to ensure they effectively support the intended learning outcomes.
In addition, participants reviewed the draft action plan for developing academic curricula in line with the latest directives issued by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The discussions emphasized the preparation of modern, high-quality curricula that align with national and international standards while meeting the evolving needs of the labor market.
During the meeting, the Dean stressed the importance of close coordination among academic departments and specialized committees, as well as adherence to the Ministry's implementation timeline, to strengthen academic performance and further reinforce Al-Mustaqbal University's position as a leading institution in higher education.
