The Department of Industrial Technical Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized an online workshop entitled “Viral Kidney Infections” on Tuesday, 21 July 2026, with the aim of highlighting the major viral infections affecting the kidneys, as well as their diagnosis and prevention. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Zaitoon Abdul Ridha Al-Khafaji from the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, and Prof. Dr. Younis Abdul Ridha Al-Khafaji from the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University. The speakers reviewed the most significant viruses associated with kidney diseases and their impact on renal function, in addition to the latest diagnostic and treatment approaches, emphasizing the importance of early detection and preventive measures to reduce complications. The workshop also featured an interactive scientific discussion, during which the speakers answered participants’ questions and stressed the importance of raising health awareness and keeping pace with recent medical advances in the field of kidney diseases, thereby enhancing the scientific and practical skills of students and healthcare professionals. This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the Department of Industrial Technical Technologies to support its academic mission, promote knowledge dissemination, and foster a culture of continuous learning in line with the latest developments in health and medical sciences.
