As part of Al-Mustaqbal University's strategy to strengthen international academic cooperation and expand the horizons of scientific research, the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, held a high-level scientific meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Istanbul Aydin University, Türkiye, in the presence of several heads of academic departments, to discuss mechanisms for advancing academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. The meeting resulted in a joint agreement to host the 5th International Conference on the Future of Sustainable Energy at Istanbul Aydin University in Türkiye. This strategic step reflects Al-Mustaqbal University's growing academic standing and aims to enhance the conference's international presence by providing a global platform for researchers and experts to exchange the latest studies and innovative solutions in sustainable energy and environmental sustainability. During the meeting, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd emphasized that hosting the conference outside Iraq represents a significant milestone in the University's internationalization journey. He noted that the initiative will strengthen research collaboration with Turkish and international universities, expand opportunities for joint scientific publications, and promote academic exchange and practical training programs for students of the College. The two sides also discussed the formation of joint scientific and organizing committees to oversee preparations for the conference, develop its scientific agenda, strengthen cooperation between counterpart colleges, and establish joint academic and research programs that support the Sustainable Development Goals and enhance the quality of engineering education. The meeting was held with the support of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, as part of the University's vision to expand its international academic partnerships and reinforce its active role within the European–Asian Universities Association (EURAS), contributing to the advancement of educational quality, research excellence, and the University's global academic reputation.
