ALmustaqbal University concluded its participation in the "AI for Good Global Summit," held at the Palexpo center in Geneva, Switzerland. The university's president, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, followed the events of the third and final day, which was dedicated to reviewing the practical applications of artificial intelligence and mechanisms for employing it in various vital sectors. The closing day's sessions witnessed intense discussions on how to transition from theoretical frameworks to the actual implementation of smart solutions, focusing on AI applications in public services, the industrial sector, and sustainable transportation. Additionally, smart city models based on Agentic AI technologies and the Citiverse concept, which integrates digital and real environments, were reviewed, along with the latest innovations in smart vehicles and advanced transportation networks. The university president also followed the closing sessions of the Kaleidoscope conference, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), which discussed the future of AI-supporting infrastructures, including 5G and 6G networks designed to support AI applications, in addition to topics of digital sovereignty and recent developments in quantum computing networks. The participation also included following the "AI for the Global Majority" session, which focused on developing AI solutions that consider the cultural and economic specificities of developing countries, as well as attending the finals of the "Innovation Factory" initiative, which showcased innovative pioneering projects contributing to achieving sustainable development goals and enhancing public services. Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi emphasized that what was presented at the summit on its closing day reflects the global trend towards transforming artificial intelligence technologies into practical solutions with a direct impact on development. He indicated that ALmustaqbal University seeks to benefit from this global expertise and employ it in developing its academic and research programs, thereby enhancing its role in supporting innovation, digital transformation, and community service.
