The Deanship of the College of Health Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University has announced the commencement of the practical summer clinical training program for students of the medical technology departments, including Radiologic Technologies, Anesthesia Technologies, Medical Laboratory Technologies, and Optometry Technologies. The program is being implemented across a number of public and private hospitals in accordance with the regulations and guidelines issued by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Academic supervisors have begun conducting regular field visits to monitor the progress of the training program, ensure students' compliance with their clinical responsibilities, and evaluate their practical performance at accredited healthcare institutions. These institutions include Imam Al-Sadiq (PBUH) Teaching Hospital, Babel Private Hospital, in addition to several other hospitals and healthcare centers. Students have been assigned to training sites based on the proximity of the institutions to their places of residence, providing a supportive training environment while minimizing transportation challenges.
The Presidency of Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, together with the Deanship of the College of Health Technologies, reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the success of the summer training program through continuous daily supervision and close coordination with healthcare institutions to address any challenges that students may encounter during the training period.
As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting its students, Al-Mustaqbal University has covered all summer training fees payable to the host hospitals and healthcare institutions. This initiative reflects the University's dedication to providing high-quality clinical training opportunities and strengthening the practical component of healthcare education, which represents a cornerstone in preparing competent and highly qualified healthcare professionals.
The College Deanship urged all students to report to their designated training sites as scheduled and to strictly adhere to official working hours and training regulations. It emphasized that failure to commence training or unauthorized absences will be addressed in accordance with the applicable ministerial rules and regulations.
The Deanship also confirmed that supervisory committees and communication channels will remain active throughout the training period to respond to students' inquiries and resolve any emergency situations, ensuring the effective implementation of the training program and the achievement of its intended educational outcomes.
