Al-Mustaqbal University Expands Its Global Academic Partnerships Through a Strategic Meeting with UNIMED

As part of its ongoing commitment to internationalization and expanding its global academic network, Al-Mustaqbal University held a virtual meeting with the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED) to explore new avenues of collaboration and discuss opportunities for participation in the Union’s academic and research initiatives across Europe and the Mediterranean region. During the meeting, the University presented a comprehensive overview of its academic development and institutional growth, highlighting its fifteen colleges, outstanding achievements in scientific research, international rankings, sustainability, and global cooperation. The presentation also showcased the University's successful experience in offering joint postgraduate programs in collaboration with universities in Malaysia and Egypt. The UNIMED delegation, in turn, introduced the Union’s mission, strategic initiatives, and international programs, emphasizing the wide range of opportunities available to member universities through collaborative research projects, academic exchanges, and internationally funded initiatives. The delegation stressed that active engagement in UNIMED activities significantly strengthens universities' international visibility and academic cooperation. Representatives of UNIMED expressed their appreciation for Al-Mustaqbal University's remarkable institutional and academic progress, commending its accomplishments in scientific research, global rankings, sustainable development, and international partnerships, describing the University as a promising partner for future collaborative projects. The Union also affirmed its willingness to involve Al-Mustaqbal University in upcoming European and Mediterranean calls for proposals, encouraging the University to prepare dedicated project teams and establish international consortia to maximize its competitiveness in securing research grants and collaborative projects. The meeting was led by Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, accompanied by several academic and administrative leaders. The UNIMED delegation was headed by Dr. Marcello Scalisi, Executive Director of the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED), together with the Union's program directors.
