Department of Archaeology Participates in the Ceremony Launching the National Program Accreditation Standards

Assistant Lecturer Fawziya Mahdi, a faculty member in the Department of Archaeology, participated in the ceremony marking the launch of the National Program Standards for the Accreditation of Arts, Languages, and Archaeology College Programs, held at the College of Arts, the University of Baghdad. The event was attended by Professor Dr. Saleh Hadi, Head of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, along with the deans of colleges of arts, faculty members, and academics interested in higher education. The ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the Iraqi National Anthem. Professor Dr. Saleh Hadi then delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the importance of implementing the National Program Standards and highlighting their vital role in enhancing the quality of university education and fulfilling the requirements for academic accreditation. The program also featured a presentation on the project delivered by Professor Dr. Ihsan Al-Haidari, Chairman of the Committee responsible for developing the standards. During his presentation, he reviewed the stages of the project’s development, its key components, and the comprehensive guide to the standards prepared by the appointed scientific committee. The ceremony concluded with the recognition of the members of the supervisory committee responsible for preparing the project.
