Al-Mustaqbal University Participates in the National Workshop on Enhancing the Quality of Bologna Process Implementation in Iraqi Universities

Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the national workshop on enhancing the quality of the Bologna Process implementation, hosted by Al-Noor University in Mosul. The workshop brought together the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Research Affairs, presidents of public and private universities and their assistants, as well as a distinguished group of international experts and specialists in higher education development. The event aimed to strengthen the quality of Bologna Process implementation and advance the higher education system in Iraq. Representing Al-Mustaqbal University at the workshop were Assistant Professor Dr. Amin Mohammed Kitab, Assistant Dean of the Engineering Technical College, and Dr. Riyadh Hamid, Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department. They participated in the scientific sessions that explored mechanisms for improving the implementation of the Bologna Process in accordance with international standards and best practices. The workshop was organized as part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of Bologna Process implementation across Iraqi universities by drawing on international expertise and exchanging successful experiences. These efforts contribute to the development of academic programs, the enhancement of learning outcomes, and their alignment with European standards and academic accreditation requirements. The workshop featured specialized scientific sessions addressing the current status of the Bologna Process implementation in Iraqi higher education institutions, the challenges associated with its adoption, external evaluation mechanisms, and quality assurance practices. Participants also reviewed leading international experiences in academic policy development and higher education quality enhancement, with contributions from internationally recognized experts. Al-Mustaqbal University’s participation reflects its commitment to keeping pace with the latest global developments in higher education, strengthening academic and administrative quality, and developing academic programs and registration systems in line with international standards. These efforts support the achievement of academic accreditation and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). AL_mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq
