With the attendance of the Dean of the Technical Engineering College, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, the Technical Engineering College participated in the ceremony of raising the banner of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), organized by Al-Mustaqbal University in cooperation with the Holy Hussaini Shrine on Saturday, June 20, 2026, marking the beginning of the holy month of Muharram, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of the University. Reflecting its humanitarian and cultural mission in commemorating religious occasions and promoting authentic Islamic values, the ceremony was attended by the University President, vice presidents, the Director of the Diwan Affairs Department, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, college deans, and a number of faculty members and staff, in addition to Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Khafaji, Head of the Academics Syndicate – Babylon Branch. The University affirmed that holding this annual ceremony stems from its belief in the importance of commemorating the everlasting Hussaini revolution and the noble values it embodies, including sacrifice, reform, support for truth, and adherence to humanitarian principles. The message of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) remains a beacon for generations, inspiring the values of justice, dignity, and steadfastness. The ceremony concluded with prayers to Almighty Allah to make this blessed month an occasion for strengthening the values of fraternity and love, and to preserve Iraq and its people while granting the country continued security, stability, and peace.
