As part of the 2025–2026 graduation projects, students of the Building and Construction Engineering Technologies Department at the College of Engineering Technology, Al-Mustaqbal University, successfully completed an engineering project entitled:
"Rainwater Drainage Network Design"
The project was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Tamar Maytham and aimed to develop an integrated stormwater drainage system capable of reducing water accumulation in urban areas and protecting roads and infrastructure from damage caused by heavy rainfall events.
The project included hydrological and hydraulic analyses to estimate runoff quantities and design pipelines, manholes, and drainage components according to recognized engineering standards. The students also utilized specialized engineering software to prepare design drawings and evaluate the network performance under various operating conditions.
The project demonstrated the students’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge and technical skills to real-world engineering challenges while providing practical and innovative solutions that contribute to improving urban infrastructure and stormwater management systems.
