In a significant step aimed at strengthening the scientific research ecosystem and expanding academic partnerships, Al-Mustaqbal University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies during an official ceremony held at the Center’s headquarters, attended by a distinguished group of university professors and researchers from both institutions. The agreement was signed on behalf of Al-Mustaqbal University by Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, Dean of the Engineering Technical College, and on behalf of the Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies by its Director General, Mr. Ali Nasser Binyan. The partnership seeks to establish an integrated framework for cooperation in scientific research and knowledge development through the exchange of expertise and the implementation of joint academic and research activities, including conferences, seminars, workshops, and specialized training programs that enhance researchers’ capabilities and promote scientific productivity. This initiative reflects the commitment of both parties to building an advanced research environment that contributes to the development of scientific competencies and strengthens the knowledge-based role of national institutions. It also supports sustainable development efforts in Iraq through applied research projects that serve society and address contemporary challenges. During the signing ceremony, both parties emphasized the importance of effective collaboration between universities and research centers as a fundamental pillar for fostering innovation and developing scientific solutions to national challenges, thereby reinforcing the positions of Al-Mustaqbal University and the Al-Nahrain Center as leading institutions in advancing knowledge and serving the community. It is worth noting that the Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies is one of Iraq’s specialized research institutions dedicated to conducting strategic studies and public policy research. The Center supports decision-makers by providing scientific analyses and strategic insights across political, economic, social, and security fields. It also plays an active role in organizing scientific conferences, forums, and training programs that promote academic dialogue and enhance research capacities, contributing to Iraq’s development and stability.
