Enhanced its efforts to advance scientific and academic performance, the Office of Scientific and Academic Supervision at Al-Mustaqbal University, the leading private university in Iraq, by holding an extensive consultative meeting on 9 June 2026 under the chairmanship of the Academic Supervisor, with the participation of directors of departments, scientific divisions, research centers, the Continuing Education Center, and a number of relevant staff members. The meeting aimed to schedule scientific activities and events for the upcoming period and evaluate progress achieved in implementing previous plans.
The meeting addressed several strategic themes, most notably the follow-up of University Council decisions, the promotion of artificial intelligence and digital transformation initiatives, the implementation of an AI literacy program for all university personnel, and the unification of specialized training programs under the supervision of the Continuing Education Center. Participants also discussed mechanisms for activating the university’s innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship ecosystem, evaluating and supporting promising entrepreneurial graduation projects, and reviewing the operational plans of academic departments and scientific centers during the summer break through clearly defined performance indicators.
Within the framework of community service, the meeting emphasized the importance of utilizing the university’s scientific expertise to address developmental challenges in Babil Governorate by preparing sustainable scientific studies and solutions. Preparations for organizing the First Al-Mustaqbal University Alumni Forum were also discussed to strengthen communication with graduates and expand opportunities for training, employment, and professional networking. Participants further stressed the importance of documenting institutional achievements through dedicated electronic platforms and enhancing media performance and institutional marketing to strengthen the university’s academic and research presence locally and internationally.
The meeting concluded with several key recommendations, including the preparation of a unified implementation plan for all university units during the summer break, the adoption of artificial intelligence and digital transformation programs as priorities for professional development, the formation of a central committee to monitor promising entrepreneurial projects, and the strengthening of partnerships with public and private sector institutions. These efforts contribute to community service and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
