As part of the College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to support academic development and enhance scientific research and reputable publishing skills among its faculty members, Assistant Lecturer Lubna Ali Jaleel Kareem, a faculty member in the Department of Medical Physics, successfully completed three accredited online training courses approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research through the Eduba Platform, affiliated with the Electronic Platform for Training and Development / Office of the Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs. The completed courses included Reasons for Research Article Rejection and How to Overcome Them, completed on June 9, 2026. This course addressed the main scientific, methodological, and editorial reasons that may lead to the rejection of scientific papers, in addition to explaining suitable mechanisms for overcoming these reasons and improving the quality of research before submission for publication. She also completed the course Notes on Writing and Publishing a Review Article, completed on June 9, 2026. The course focused on the key academic guidelines for preparing, organizing, and drafting review articles in accordance with the requirements of reputable scientific publishing. In addition, she completed the course Selecting the Appropriate Journal and Verifying Its Reliability, completed on June 10, 2026. This course aimed to introduce the mechanisms for selecting suitable scientific journals and verifying their reliability and accreditation, contributing to enhancing the quality of academic publishing and avoiding non-reputable journals. This achievement came after completing all educational units, reviewing the specialized scientific content, and successfully passing the required assessments in accordance with the academic standards approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It reflects the commitment of the Department of Medical Physics faculty members to developing their scientific and research capabilities and keeping pace with the requirements of reputable academic publishing.
