As part of the College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to support academic development and enhance scientific research skills among its faculty members, Assistant Lecturer Fatima Basim Yaseen Khudhair, a faculty member in the Department of Medical Physics, successfully completed four accredited online training courses approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research through the Eduba Platform, affiliated with the Electronic Platform for Training and Development / Office of the Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs.
The completed courses included How to Write a Research Paper from the Reviewer’s Perspective, completed on June 7, 2026. This course addressed the mechanisms of preparing scientific research according to academic evaluation standards, as well as the key aspects reviewers focus on when evaluating research papers.
She also completed the course Reputable Journals, completed on June 10, 2026. The course focused on introducing accredited scientific journals and explaining how to distinguish reputable journals from non-reputable ones, contributing to the promotion of reliable scientific publishing.
In addition, she completed the course The Concept of the H-Index and How to Increase It, completed on June 9, 2026. This course aimed to clarify the concept of the H-index and its importance in measuring a researcher’s academic impact, in addition to highlighting scientific methods that help increase research citations.
Furthermore, she completed the course The Bologna Process in Iraqi Universities, completed on June 3, 2026. The course covered the concepts of the Bologna Process, its implementation mechanisms in Iraqi universities, and its role in developing the educational system and improving the quality of academic outcomes.
This achievement came after completing all educational units, reviewing the specialized scientific content, and successfully passing the required assessments in accordance with the academic standards approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It reflects the commitment of the Department of Medical Physics faculty members to developing their scientific and research capabilities and keeping pace with the requirements of higher education and reputable academic publishing.
