As part of monitoring research performance indicators for the 2025–2026 academic year and promoting a culture of high-quality scientific publishing, a number of faculty members from the Engineering Technical College at Al-Mustaqbal University have achieved a remarkable scientific accomplishment by ranking among the researchers with the highest number of scientific citations. This reflects the quality of their research output and its significant impact on the academic community at both local and international levels.
Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd topped the list with more than 8,000 citations, followed by Assistant Professor Dr. Taysir Samir Jaaz with 4,728 citations, and Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Maytham Obeid with more than 2,000 citations.
This achievement highlights the advanced scientific standing of the college’s researchers, particularly following their inclusion among the world's top 2% scientists according to Stanford University’s global rankings. It also demonstrates the quality and influence of the scientific and research contributions produced by Al-Mustaqbal University across various engineering and technical disciplines.
In addition, several other faculty members of the Engineering Technical College achieved advanced positions in citation metrics, further confirming the college’s distinguished research presence and its effective contribution to advancing scientific knowledge and supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure).
