The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, signed a Letter of Intent with the University of Reading, United Kingdom, in the presence of the Iraqi Cultural Counselor in the United Kingdom, Professor Dr. Qusay Al-Ahmadi, along with a number of academic and administrative representatives from both the Iraqi and British sides. The memorandum aimed to strengthen academic, scientific, and research cooperation between the two universities and expand areas of international partnership, contributing to the development of the educational environment, the advancement of scientific research, and the provision of distinguished academic opportunities for students and faculty members. The discussions included mechanisms for establishing joint academic programs, double-degree pathways, and academic progression agreements, as well as exploring opportunities for scholarships and tuition discounts for students. The two sides also discussed prospects for collaboration in scientific research, knowledge exchange, and joint research projects. The signing ceremony also witnessed the exchange of commemorative shields between Al-Mustaqbal University and the British delegation, reflecting the depth of academic relations and the commitment of both institutions to strengthening future cooperation. On the sidelines of the visit, the Iraqi delegation met with a group of Iraqi students and researchers studying at the University of Reading to learn about their academic experiences, listen to their needs, and encourage them to continue their excellence and achievements.
