In a step that reflects its strategic vision to strengthen its international academic and research presence, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdy, accompanied by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Dhalimi, and in the presence of the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in the United Kingdom, Professor Dr. Qusay Al-Ahmadi, paid an official visit to the University of Nottingham, one of the world's most prestigious institutions in education and scientific research. The visit included a series of productive meetings and discussions with academic leaders and officials from the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham. The discussions focused on mechanisms for enhancing cooperation between the two institutions and strengthening academic partnerships in areas such as academic twinning programs, dual-degree initiatives, joint research projects, and the exchange of academic and scientific expertise. This partnership holds particular significance given the distinguished global standing of the University of Nottingham’s School of Pharmacy, which ranks first in the United Kingdom and eighth worldwide in the field of Pharmacy. The School also maintains a strategic partnership with Boots, the globally renowned pharmaceutical manufacturing and retail company, providing its students and graduates with extensive opportunities for training and employment within leading international organizations and companies. Meanwhile, the College of Pharmacy at Al-Mustaqbal University continues to reinforce its academic reputation through its remarkable achievement of obtaining American accreditation for pharmacy education, reflecting its commitment to implementing the highest international standards in pharmaceutical education and training. The visit culminated in the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Al-Mustaqbal University and the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham. The agreement aims to establish a sustainable framework for academic and research collaboration, promote the exchange of expertise among faculty members and researchers, and create broader opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students to engage in advanced scientific and research programs in pharmaceutical sciences and biotechnology.
