As part of its strategic vision to strengthen international academic cooperation and expand engagement with leading global educational institutions, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, accompanied by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Dhalimi, and the Cultural Advisor in the United Kingdom, Professor Dr. Qusay Al-Ahmadi, paid an official visit to the University of Nottingham, one of the world’s most prestigious universities in education and scientific research. The visit included a series of productive meetings and academic discussions with senior officials of the University of Nottingham and the leadership of its School of Pharmacy. The discussions focused on exploring opportunities for joint cooperation, enhancing academic and scientific partnerships, developing twinning and dual-degree programs, and activating collaborative research projects that contribute to advancing higher education and scientific research. This partnership holds particular significance given the distinguished academic standing of the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham, which is ranked first in the United Kingdom and eighth globally in the field of Pharmacy. The School also maintains strategic partnerships with leading international pharmaceutical institutions and companies, including Boots, providing its graduates with advanced educational and training opportunities as well as broad career prospects in major global organizations. Meanwhile, the College of Pharmacy at Al-Mustaqbal University continues to strengthen its academic reputation through its remarkable achievement of obtaining American accreditation for pharmaceutical education, reflecting its commitment to implementing the highest international standards in pharmacy education and training. The visit culminated in the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Al-Mustaqbal University and the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham. The agreement aims to enhance academic and research collaboration, facilitate the exchange of expertise among faculty members and researchers, and create advanced academic and research opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences and biotechnology.
