The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, accompanied by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Zalami, and the Cultural Attaché in the United Kingdom, Professor Dr. Qusay Al-Ahmadi, conducted an official visit to the prestigious University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. The delegation held extensive meetings with academic leadership and the Faculty of Pharmacy there, culminating in the official signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between both sides to enhance international academic cooperation and advance towards broader horizons in scientific research and smart development.
The meetings included discussions on activating the partnership, developing twinning programs, dual degree offerings, and joint research projects, in addition to exchanging expertise between lecturers and researchers and opening new opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences and biotechnology.
This agreement is based on the distinguished status of both institutions; the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham ranks first in the United Kingdom and eighth globally and maintains a strong partnership with the global pharmaceutical company Boots. Meanwhile, the College of Pharmacy at Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a significant milestone by obtaining the American Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accreditation, confirming the alignment of its curriculum and structure with the highest international standards.
