In line with the directives of the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdy, emphasizing the importance of continuously improving scientific and academic performance across all university sectors, the Office of Scientific and Academic Supervision at Al-Mustaqbal University held an extensive consultative meeting chaired by the Academic Supervisor, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi.
The meeting was attended by directors of scientific departments, divisions, research centers, the Continuing Education Center, and several staff members from the relevant units. The purpose of the meeting was to schedule upcoming scientific activities and events in accordance with approved plans and to evaluate progress achieved during the previous period.
At the outset of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Al-Zuhairi delivered a series of directives stressing the importance of translating the University Presidency’s vision and University Council decisions into clear, measurable implementation plans aligned with Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to institutional development and academic excellence.
The meeting addressed several strategic topics, including the follow-up of University Council decisions, the promotion of artificial intelligence and digital transformation initiatives, and the implementation of an AI Literacy Program for all university staff. Participants also discussed the unification of specialized training programs under the supervision of the Continuing Education Center.
Furthermore, attendees explored mechanisms for strengthening creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystems within the university. Discussions included the evaluation of promising entrepreneurial graduation projects and the formation of specialized committees to assess, support, and market these projects. The meeting also reviewed the operational plans of scientific departments and research centers during the summer break and mechanisms for monitoring their implementation through defined performance indicators.
Within the framework of community service, participants emphasized the role of the university’s scientific expertise in addressing developmental challenges facing Babylon Province through sustainable scientific studies and practical solutions. Preparations for organizing the First Al-Mustaqbal University Alumni Forum were also discussed, with the aim of enhancing communication with graduates and expanding opportunities for training, employment, and professional networking.
The meeting further highlighted the importance of documenting institutional achievements through the university’s dedicated electronic platform and enhancing media performance and institutional marketing efforts to strengthen the university’s academic and research presence at both national and international levels.
The meeting concluded with several key recommendations, including the preparation of a unified implementation plan for all university units during the summer break, the adoption of artificial intelligence and digital transformation programs as priorities for professional development, the establishment of a central committee to oversee promising entrepreneurial projects, and the strengthening of partnerships with public and private sector institutions. Participants also stressed the importance of supporting initiatives that contribute to community service and sustainable development.
