Abstract: The world is witnessing rapid development in artificial intelligence technologies, as these technologies have become an important part of educational and scientific research environments. The importance of artificial intelligence lies in its ability to analyze data, accelerate access to knowledge, support researchers in reviewing literature, and improve teaching and assessment methods. This article aims to highlight the role of artificial intelligence in developing scientific research, explaining its main benefits and challenges, with a focus on the importance of ethical and conscious use of these technologies. Introduction: Artificial intelligence has become one of the most influential technologies in the modern era. Its use is no longer limited to technical fields only, but has expanded to include education, medicine, engineering, and administration. In the field of scientific research, artificial intelligence has helped researchers deal with large amounts of information quickly and accurately, contributing to improving the quality of research and accelerating the process of knowledge production. First: The Concept of Artificial Intelligence: Artificial intelligence refers to the ability of computer systems to simulate some human capabilities, such as learning, analysis, prediction, and decision-making. These systems rely on algorithms and data to provide results that help humans complete their tasks more efficiently. Second: The Importance of Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research: Artificial intelligence contributes to supporting scientific research through big data analysis, organizing sources, suggesting research ideas, and discovering relationships among previous studies. It also helps researchers reduce the time spent on searching and reviewing, giving them a greater opportunity to focus on analysis and conclusions. Third: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Improving Education: Artificial intelligence provides modern educational tools that help students understand scientific subjects in more interactive ways. It can also be used to design smart tests, monitor students’ academic levels, and provide feedback that helps improve academic performance. Fourth: Challenges Associated with the Use of Artificial Intelligence: Despite the great benefits of artificial intelligence, there are important challenges that must be considered, including the accuracy of information, privacy protection, excessive dependence on smart tools, and the possibility of producing inaccurate or unreliable information. Therefore, artificial intelligence should be treated as a supportive tool rather than a substitute for critical thinking and the researcher’s scientific effort. Fifth: The Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence: The proper use of artificial intelligence requires commitment to academic integrity, documentation of sources, review of results, and avoiding full reliance on texts or analyses produced by smart tools without verification. Artificial intelligence can be a powerful supportive factor when used consciously and responsibly. Conclusion: Artificial intelligence represents a major opportunity to develop scientific research and improve the quality of education, due to the effective tools it provides in analysis, organization, and learning. However, the success of its use depends on the awareness of researchers and students regarding its limits and challenges. It is necessary for educational institutions to adopt clear policies that ensure the use of artificial intelligence in an ethical and scientific manner, contributing to the creation of a more advanced educational and research environment.
