Adding 27 Globally Indexed Research Papers Enhances Scientific Output and Academic Sustainability

Al-Mustaqbal University added 27 research papers indexed in international databases during the last week of May 2026, achieving a new research milestone that reflects the rapid growth of its scientific output and strengthens its position among leading academic institutions in Iraq and the region. Recent statistics showed a continued increase in the number of publications in Open Access journals, contributing to the wider dissemination of scientific knowledge, increasing citation opportunities, and enhancing the University's academic impact at the international level. The published research covered several vital and strategic fields, including artificial intelligence and digital transformation, renewable energy and energy efficiency, materials engineering and advanced technologies, environmental sustainability, as well as engineering and medical applications that contribute to community service and support sustainable development pathways. Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, emphasized the importance of continuously supporting researchers and encouraging publication in reputable international journals, while focusing on applied research that can be utilized and invested in industrial, technological, and knowledge-economy sectors, thereby strengthening the University's role in innovation and development. This achievement coincides with the launch of the Al-Mustaqbal University Artificial Intelligence Council, which aims to support digital transformation and integrate artificial intelligence technologies into education, scientific research, and university administration, while also enhancing innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer within the University. Al-Mustaqbal University, the leading private university in Iraq, continues to strengthen its position in scientific research and sustainability through an advanced academic environment and an extensive network of international collaborations.
