Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Roudhan Salman, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Din Abdullah, Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, the College of Education at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an educational and psychological guidance workshop on the occasion of Eid Al-Ghadir, which is celebrated annually on the 18th of Dhul-Hijjah. The workshop addressed the educational and psychological guidance dimensions of Eid Al-Ghadir as a religious occasion that embodies noble human and moral values contributing to the development of a balanced personality and the promotion of social awareness. It emphasized that Eid Al-Ghadir is not merely a historical event, but rather an integrated educational and psychological school whose principles can be utilized in the development of both individuals and society. The workshop discussed several important educational themes, including fostering the value of commitment to promises and covenants, developing a sense of responsibility, promoting the principles of justice and competence in assuming responsibilities, and reinforcing the values of belonging and loyalty to truth and principles. The workshop also highlighted the psychological aspects reflected in Eid Al-Ghadir, such as strengthening self-confidence, maintaining resilience in the face of social pressures, fulfilling the need for psychological security and a sense of belonging, as well as nurturing optimism, hope, and a sound psychological and intellectual identity among young people. In conclusion, the workshop affirmed that Eid Al-Ghadir represents a comprehensive approach to education and psychological guidance through the noble messages and values it conveys, including commitment, responsibility, and justice.
