The University of Al-Mustaqbal announced the establishment of the “Future Council for University Artificial Intelligence” as an advanced strategic platform aimed at leading digital and knowledge transformation within the university and linking education, scientific research, and entrepreneurship with future needs. This qualitative step reflects the university’s vision of building a smart and innovative academic model that contributes to supporting the knowledge economy and sustainable development.
The announcement was made during an official ceremony held on this occasion in the presence of the University President, Hassan Shaker Majdi, along with academic and administrative leaders, as well as a number of faculty members, researchers, and individuals interested in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
During the ceremony, the University President delivered a speech in which he reviewed the fundamental pillars of the university’s vision for transforming into a “Smart University.” He emphasized that the establishment of the council represents the starting point for a new phase of institutional and academic development based on employing artificial intelligence technologies in education, administration, scientific research, and university services, thereby enhancing the university’s competitiveness locally and internationally.
The University President also noted that the council will work on building an integrated artificial intelligence ecosystem within the university. This includes developing smart systems for admission, registration, academic advising, and performance analysis, as well as supporting adaptive learning, hybrid education, virtual reality, and intelligent simulation, in addition to employing predictive analytics to support university decision-making.
The ceremony also included the presentation of a specialized working paper by the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, who discussed the council’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives, in addition to the key vital pathways it will focus on during the coming phase.
Al-Zuhairi explained that the council’s vision is:
“To lead the transformation toward an innovative smart university that contributes to building a sustainable knowledge economy based on artificial intelligence.”
He further stated that the council will adopt a broad package of modern strategic pathways, including the development of smart education and learning, support for scientific research and innovation in artificial intelligence, medical and healthcare AI, entrepreneurship and startups, cybersecurity and AI ethics, as well as building international partnerships and technological alliances.
