Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Roudhan Salman, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college, supervised by Prof. Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Din, organized a workshop entitled “The Role of Women in Combating Violence in Society.”
The workshop was presented by Prof. Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Din, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, and Assistant Lecturer Rola سعد. The speakers discussed the concept of violence, its types and forms, and its negative effects on women, children, and families, as well as ways to confront it through awareness and education.
This activity was held on Sunday, May 17, at 10:00 a.m. at the College of Education, Humanities Building.
The event was attended by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Lecturer Hussein Al-Shammari, along with a number of the college’s academic and administrative staff members.
This activity falls within the framework of the National Strategy to Combat Violence Against Women, First Axis: First Paragraph.
It also aligns with the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Quality Education.
