Monday, May 18, 2026 – The Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, Lecturer Dr. Dhulfiqar Ahmed Hamza, held an expanded meeting with the Graduation Research Projects Committee and the Scientific Committee at 11:00 AM in the department’s meeting hall to discuss final-year students’ graduation projects, review their progress, and officially approve them. The meeting was attended by members of the Scientific Committee, the Graduation Research Projects Committee, and several faculty members supervising student research projects. During the meeting, the submitted projects were reviewed and their scientific and research aspects were discussed, in addition to evaluating the level of progress achieved and their compliance with approved academic standards. The discussion addressed several key topics, including reviewing research titles, discussing the scientific methodology used in preparing the projects, and evaluating the relevance of the research to modern laboratory technologies and contemporary scientific and medical issues. The meeting also included presenting several scientific and technical remarks related to research preparation procedures, while emphasizing the importance of addressing and correcting the observations noted by the specialized committees in order to improve the academic quality of the projects and ensure their presentation in a well-structured scientific format. During the meeting, the Head of the Department stressed the importance of adhering to scientific and ethical standards in research writing, highlighting the need to rely on up-to-date scientific references and strengthen students’ research skills to enhance their ability to conduct applied research in laboratory technologies. The meeting further discussed mechanisms for organizing final discussions of graduation projects and preparing their schedules, in addition to emphasizing the importance of cooperation between scientific committees and supervising faculty members to ensure the completion of projects within the specified timeframe and at the highest possible academic level. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Head of the Department praised the efforts made by the scientific committees and faculty members in supervising student projects, emphasizing that graduation research represents an essential step in preparing students capable of keeping pace with scientific developments and serving the healthcare sector efficiently. This meeting is part of a series of regular meetings organized by the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques to support scientific research and enhance the quality of graduation projects in line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision for academic and research excellence.
