Department of Architecture Engineering Holds a Practical Workshop Entitled “Architecture and Art in the Service of Sustainability”

As part of the activities of the Fourth Future Sustainability Week, the Department of Architecture Engineering at the College of Engineering / Al-Mustaqbal University organized a practical workshop entitled “Architecture and Art in the Service of Sustainability,” supervised by Assistant Lecturers Enas Dhahir Habeeb and Doaa Hazim Aziz, in the presence of the Babilian artist Dr. Ali Shakir Neama, with active participation from the department’s students. The workshop aimed to strengthen the concept of integration between architecture and the arts in achieving sustainability principles through the use of recycled materials and artistic creativity within architectural designs, contributing to improving the urban environment and enhancing the sustainable use of resources. The workshop also included practical applications and interactive discussions that contributed to developing students’ skills and enhancing their ability to connect theoretical knowledge with practical experience, while encouraging them to adopt creative ideas and sustainable solutions in the architectural field. The workshop witnessed remarkable interaction from the students, providing them with the opportunity to explore inspiring artistic and architectural experiences, as well as exchange ideas and expertise with specialists, thereby supporting their orientation toward innovation and creativity in sustainable architecture. This activity comes within the vision of the Department of Architecture Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University to support scientific and practical activities that contribute to promoting sustainability concepts and developing students’ academic and creative skills.
