The Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Techniques – Al-Mustaqbal University launched a training course on the Fundamentals of Nursing on Tuesday, 12 May 2026, continuing through Wednesday, 13 May 2026. The course targeted students from the Departments of Dialysis Kidney Techniques and Emergency Medical Techniques and was supervised and conducted by Assistant Lecturer Zainab Ali Mohsen, Head of the Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques, and Assistant Lecturer Kadhim Hussein Jasim, faculty member at the College of Nursing.
The first day of the course included practical training sessions on vital signs assessment skills, including blood pressure measurement, blood glucose testing, respiratory rate assessment, and heart rate monitoring.
The course aimed to enhance students’ practical and clinical competencies in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, through the provision of a training environment that contributes to improving students’ academic and practical capabilities.
This course represents one of the significant initiatives consistently organized by the department and the university to support the development of students’ skills and refine their professional competencies, thereby contributing to strengthening the university’s academic standing and advancement at both the local and international levels.
